Training


 The Patras Paragliding Club consists of six members who have a trainers licence. Two of the members are professionals and each of them has their own school. They are full time instructors whilst the other four members instruct occasionally.

  Apart from the basic training that new members receive, seminars and courses are continuously organized for advanced pilots and beginners.

  Qualified members of our club and other clubs in Greece organize the seminars. The seminars take place every year in February and March and they consist of: General Local Meteorology, Air Dynamics, Cross-country, Reading of maps and the use of GPS, S.I.V., Strategy and Psychology of flying and competitions, First Aid and other courses. The members of the Mountaineering club and the Greek Rescue Squad attend many of the courses.

 The Free Sky School undertakes complete training for candidate pilots that consist of theory courses, meteorology, ground knowledge, lower flying and flying from the mountain. The school provides the equipment. Cross-country lessons are taught to the more advanced pilots.
