Panahaiko-South

The take off from the North of the Panahaiko mountain is at an altitude of 1425 meters,  co-ordinates   UTM  34S  N x: 573622    y: 4228857 and you can fly with South Southwest winds almost every day of the year.

 The mountain is 60 minutes from Patra.  You pass  Zastova and turn  left  towards  the  Panahaiko  shelter,  where  the dirt road begins. You pass the abandoned sanatorium building and as you go up you pass the lower landing area. Then you go on to reach the shelter and you continue on till the end of the dirt road. From there on you walk around 200 meters up to the take off area.

 The take off area is quite large and it has a good inclination. The flight can be a simple drift of about 7 kilometres to the landing area of Omblo. The pilot can take routes: towards Rio, Omblo, the top of the Panahaiko mountain and from then on to Leondio, Rakita, Kalavrita..
